If you want to customize front page, you'll have to provide new index_std.php:
Create /etc/gforge/custom directory.
Set $sys_custom_path configuration variable to /etc/gforge/custom.
Copy /var/www/gforge/www/index_std.php/etc/gforge/custom/index_std.php and edit it as you like.
